Just a smart choice for a weekend jaunt in Postbridge with outstanding value for money. The breakfast had lovely quality bacon that was a treat. Try to ask for mugs instead of small cups for a better coffee experience.

A sublime experience with stunning views from the superior double room, and the tranquil river nearby made for a delightful dip after a long journey. Breakfast was a highlight, showcasing a fantastic spread of fruits, cereals, and hot options. The friendly and helpful hosts created an inviting atmosphere, yet their respectful presence allowed for peaceful enjoyment of the surroundings. The only downside was the limited dining options nearby, and the absence of in-room dining despite the lovely meal offerings.

Cozy stay with a personal touch!
Had a lovely welcome from the owner and her adorable dog! Enjoyed a great selection of flavored teas, and fresh milk in the mini fridge was a nice touch. The breakfast was delicious (I nearly couldn't finish mine! ). Only wish there were more dining options nearby, but overall, it felt like staying at my gran's place.

A cozy, homely vibe!
Such a nice welcome from the owner and her adorable dog! Loved the choice of flavored teas and having fresh milk in the mini fridge. Cooked breakfast was fantastic—couldn't finish mine because it was so filling! The only thing? The shower pressure could be better, but everything else was spot on.

I enjoyed my stay at Lydgate House. The room was a great size and very clean. Comfy pillows contributed to good sleep, although the mattress felt a bit firm for my liking. The breakfast selection impressed me. The full English was cooked well, along with homemade marmalade and fresh fruit options. I loved sitting outside by the river on a private bench, surrounded by nature, which was peaceful. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. I found the lack of a full-length mirror in the room inconvenient and the wi-fi coverage needed improvement, especially on the upper floors.
